Book Recommended by Sabrina, she's into poetry. It's different than my normal read, given Brian and I typically only read non-fiction, but it was emotion invoking. She does a good job at expressing the vulnerability within a relationship. This could be a boyfriend or to a father. She had a very tough go with her relationships that brought a lot of hurt into her life. She was young and probably didn't know any better but you still feel bad for her. I was more sad after I finished it than when I started LOL but I guess that is a sign of a decent book. People really need good role models or parents. It's a real travesty to kids when your parents are equally as lost as you. Damn shame.


Good first exposure to poetry, was a short read. Reddit hated it though LOL they said it was an Instagram book which I guess means it wasn't deep or complex. I have no idea. Shout out Sabrina!

  I can’t say it is a good sign that I am reading this book. Jajajaj It is an embarrassment mostly but anyways knowledge is knowledge right? Jaja I can’t say this book was super helpful or matched my experience really. In some cases I disagree with the authors.  I think the main surprise of this book is the overall portrayal of women. I thought since it is 2026 women want to pay for the first date and aren’t emotional and don’t want to hold your hand and and don’t care if you hold the door for them and want to take control in sex and other relationship matters. This is what I get from watching tv and hearing about women wanting more equality. But this book basically says the opposite based on their studies: essentially that men have the power in the relationship and that women are fragile and need to be held and listened to. Boundaries - Dr. Henry Cloud & John Townsend - Scott Goggins

  A book I think most people should read. Not because they wrote this book in such a cool way that it stuck with me, its more so just the concept of boundaries. I thought about it before but never to the extent that this book portrays. It essentially is just a way to protect yourself and they give you permission to put yourself first which can be hard when your mom or grandmother are guilt tripping you. There are some interesting lines. So your parents raise you and as you are deciding what to do in life you decide you want to live in California while they are in Maryland. Your parents then say 'we provided for you all these years and have taken care of you and you are going to move to California and not let us see our grandchildren?'. My irl response is dang they are right, they have done a lot for me maybe I shouldn't go. The book argues that if they did these actions with 'love' then they were done not to be paid back. The Blind Side - Michael Lewis - 2006

  If this was basketball I would shoot a 3 cuz I need a heat check jajaja. Much better than moneyball. Not as good as the big short. He has another book called going infinite that is about crypto that I want to read but I cannot find it on Libby for some reason.  The main thing I learned from this book is that who you know really matters and that having money really matters. These people got Michael out of the hood by accident and used their vast wealth and connections to help him make it to the nfl. Without their help he could have easily ended up dead or flipping burgers.  This book was a bit mean at times. At one point it says Michael would likely never read a book for pleasure because he was not good at reading. lol  I honestly believe the Tuohy family helped him without any malicious motives (however there is definitely some doubt, read the whole review).
