Just Kids - Patti Smith - 2010 - bb

I tend to agree with Scott’s review. This book was fine but not awesome. I prefer to read about more famous people.

One thing I learned from this book is to follow your passion even if you don’t eat and even if you have to sleep outside on a stoop. I think the luckiest people in the world are the ones who know who they are and what they want to do. I am always weighing a bunch of options and guessing. Patti and Robert were always artists and they knew they were artists and they knew they were good. If you know this you don’t have to think so much, you just do your work and are happy.

This book is not top 10. It is pretty crazy at times. Thanks Scott! Now I will read “into the wild” as recommended by Rachel! Yeet
