The Devil in the White City by Erik Larson - 2003

Shout out to Eric Planz from ups for generously letting me borrow this book. Overall a solid read. I got a bit bored of reading about the fair eventually. The parts about Holmes aka mudgett were very interesting. It is pretty obvious to me that Walt Disney came up with Disneyland based on his father´s stories about the world´s fair. His father helped build the fair. This book was extremely well researched. I wish it was as easy to woo women  today as it was in the 1800s. Holmes was pure evil. Are some people just born evil or crazy? It is seems Holmes was just a purely evil person. Does God exist or not?

My only problem with the book is that I was assuming that everything was true. Based on what the author writes in the introduction, most everything is true or at least conjectured by existing evidence.

This is an interesting true story about a murderer who lived near Jackson Park and attended the world’s fair in Chicago in 1893.

Not the best book ever but page it!!!
