Isaac’s Storm - Erik Larson - 1999
Good overall. Well researched. The Galveston hurricane was really bad. The ironic part is that the US weather bureau was pretty terrible at predicting the weather at this time in history (1900s) and gave the city of Galveston no warning. That is a shame. People had rough lives in past centuries. I am grateful for all that I have.
If you like historical nonfiction that is told as a story this book is for you. Hoping to read Hillbilly Elegy next. Let’s see. Page it!
Thanks Eric Planz at UPS for the recommendation.
