The queen of Katwe - 2012 - Tim Crothers

This is a short book. I listened to it. It is a bit hard to get all of the names down. By the end, you will do a bit better I think.

You do not need to like chess or know anything about chess to read this book. It is more about survival and poverty than chess. The poverty is recent and unreal. These are people who do not see their parents for days, do not know how old they are, could be born with aids but are not sure, and whose children are and could be abducted. They also often eat 1 meal a day. This book gives you really really awesome perspective. I am very grateful for all I have in my life and cannot believe people in the world have to live this way.

Scott, this is worth reading. @everyone, page it for sure and become more thankful for all you have.
