Hell's Angels - Hunter S. Thompson - 1966

Nonfiction, kind of medium length/not too long. The beginning was kind of boring. Once he switched to more first person narration it was good. A lot about the hell's angels you can kind of guess: gang-rape, booze, bikes, and violence. Some of the other things are kind of interesting and more intricate. The Angels are a bit of a conundrum as portrayed by the author. On the one hand they are apparently not as bad as the press makes them out to be. On the other hand the author leaves the Angels after being beat up by them.

The angels hung out with ken kesey (i just read one flew over the cuckoo's nest by kesey) so that was kind of cool. Apparently LSD was legal in 1965 lol.

The author's writing style was ok. The second half of the book is solid. I say page it. Not the best book ever but pretty good.

Many thanks to the many different folks who told me to read this one.
