man's search for meaning - viktor frankl - 1946 (bb)

We forgot to review this one. But then I remembered today! go me! Im super mad at my baby mamma today so i'm gonna say take my review with a grain of salt and read scott's too. I always wondered if teachers who graded papers while they were in a bad mood gave out lower marks. I assume they do due to human nature. Anyways this book is overrated. There is some good insight about the power of the human mind and one's perspective on life. Otherwise it was too analytical and not anecdotal enough for me.

There is no doubt Frankl is a smart dude. He is also heroic and has suffered far more than most people (if i remember right he chose to stay instead of going to America and therefore ended up in the concentration camp; I also believe his pregnant wife and parents and possibly other family members were killed in the concentration camps). I am not sure how anyone can survive the concentration camp and also deal with so much loss. I wish the book was more about his personal experience.

I say shelf it! It is ok but not great!! But also be sure to read Scott's review for more perspective. He may be having a better day today than me (perhaps due to swing dancing jajajajajaj) peace!
