Interesting book with great perspective from a former white house chief usher. I believe you learn about the history of the office of white house chief usher. You also learn about some of the most common white house events. I remember that President Johnson was never satisfied with the water pressure in the shower (I also have this problem frequently). Nixon's wife once asked for cottage cheese and the ushers did not have any. They had to search D.C. to find some.
