Stolen Focus - Johann Hari
Interesting read about the power of companies like google and youtube and how they manipulate your time. There is (or at least there was) like a master brain control center in these places (google at least) that try to keep you online. Someone invented the infinite scroll on twitter for example. The author also gave up his cell phone for a while and found some inner peace. Sadly it did not last. My screen time is like 4 hours a day. There was some interesting debate about whether it is your fault that you do certain things. Let us take junk for as an example. If you grow up watching the cute bunny in the trix cereal commercial is it your fault that you end up eating it? I am not sure of the answer to this question. The bottom line was that companies have professionals that are paid to steal your focus. It is therefore hard to stay away.
page it! (not best book ever but well researched!)
