the tender bar (2005) - J. R. Moehringer

This guy helped agassi write open (see our review). Open is super good. This book is super good. This book is real. By that I mean it shows the real life of an american. There is no fairytale ending (I wish the ending was happier). I often feel like his poor mom pecking at her calculator. I wish I could have sex with Sydney too lol. The best character is uncle charlie by far. His vocab is vicious. You will probably be able to relate to a lot in the story. The part about the reprint is super funny. The part about him working in the department store is super funny (maybe college is overrated but you should do what you like to do i guess). There are a lot of other good parts (the part with lana for example) that I am forgetting. This is a long book. It seems that many very successful people do not have good fathers. Maybe it is because they have to learn to hustle while they are younger (many successful people do have fathers too though)? Or maybe God decides to help them out and gives them good luck/special talent? Read for sure and as the great Drake says "thank me later"

page it!! you're welcome!!

p.s. there is a movie of the book from 2021; I have not seen it but maybe it is good.
