The facemaker - lindsey fitzharris

If you like war history this is a good book for you. It is nonfiction. It tells the story of Harold Gillies (a kiwi) and his pioneering efforts in the field of plastic surgery during and after wwI. It is extremely well researched. The pictures at the end are gruesome but show what a great surgeon he was. Eventually you get the point of the book and it kind of keeps repeating itself. In any case, if you enjoy history, this book is for you!

Mad respect to Gillies and all of our veterans! We have super easy lives compared to all that happened in this book.

page it!
