Open - Andre Agassi (2009) - with help from J. R. Moehringer

Highly recommend (thanks Scott for reading it first and telling me)! If you ever thought athletes are robots that are never in their own heads, you are dead wrong! Agassi was often thinking about his hair, messing up, or something else while on court. This is super relatable for readers. The way he got Steffi (who i learned in this book prefers Stephanie) is funny. BG is super funny as always. He advised Agassi to get the sauce on the side at a restaurant so he would have more control over his dinner (jajajajaja). His trainer is awesome and apparently did not pee during a match (which could be long) in order to always be there if Agassi looked over. Agassi is a liar unfortunately. His dad was crazy. Stephanie's dad was also intense. Agassi knew Barbra Streisand. Philly is awesome. His wedding to stephanie is awesome. I do not think he liked sampras that much. I highly recommend to watch him play federer on youtube. It is cool. He talks about Fed and Nadal in the book. The book is super well researched in terms of match facts. You learn a lot about tennis/other players/coaches. Agassi hardly had any education which is crazy!! Apparently his mom did not influence him much. He really struggled mentally in matches and at the french open. His memory of courier is super funny. Agassi likes fireplaces and likes to think in the shower. I dont want to give it all away! Pretty long book but worth reading!

Read it for sure and you will realize athletes are humans too!

page it for sure!!!! awesome book!! It is wide open for sure!! very honest!!!

Still today, Agassi is an awesome and friendly person who helps his Vegas community!!!
