Enter Night: Metallica the Biography -Mick Wall
This was my favorite book for a while, but then I read scar tissue and some others. The problem is Metallica did not write this book. It is just better to hear the stories from the band members themselves. That being said Mick Wall wrote this as good as he could have for not being in the band. You learn about the origins of the band. Then the book goes album to album with the band and you learn about all of the minor (and super cool) details. The main thing I took away from the book was that Lars is not that great of a musician but he was a super hard worker and great promoter of the band. I notice that a lot of girls really love James Hetfield. Of course RIP cliff burton. Apparently he was the most talented member of the band. Metallica is the only band to perform on all seven continents. They also brought in a therapist at one point to help the band mesh better (lol). There is also a super cool documentary about the band from 2004 called Metallica: Some Kind of Monster which you can watch on Netflix (my brother says it is good!). I could talk about the virtues of Metallica for days.
page it for sure!! Metallica is just a super cool group and you will learn a lot from the book. They are still making music too!!
p.s. lars's dad is also super cool (a great artist and tennis player from Denmark). It's in the book!

I might have to read this one, I havent read any metallica related
