a brief history of time (stephen hawking)

It says this book is made for the general reader. lies!! You will probably only understand 20% of it. (depends on your academic background). That being said this is a great book! It is a real shame that hawking has since died. This book covers black holes, the expansion of the universe, time travel, worm holes, quarks, strings, antiparticles, the multiverse, and the history of physics. You learn about all the legends, galileo, copernicus, einstein (the goat), newton (probably second goat), and hawking himself. The progression of cosmology from person to person is really amazing.

Even though you will understand a small amount you will be saying wow throughout and almost everything you read will be acquired knowledge which is really great! Maybe this book will spur you on to more in depth study of some of the topics (I hope so!).

I hope a new version of this book comes out soon (although with Hawking's death this may not be possible?)

My only doubt about this book is how much of what I am reading still holds true. In any case it is still worth reading.

***********Read all the pages up to the glossary. He mentions the new findings at the end that was not in the previous editions of this book.

page it for sure and learn a lot! and be confused!!
